On the morning of June 25, Liu Hongyan, Deputy Director of CPDRC, and relevant workers met Professor Sabu in the conference room on 3/F. First of all, Liu Hongyan extended warm welcome to Professor Sabu, and expected the researchers of CPDRC to make full use of Professor Sabu’s visit, have further exchanges on research progress, ask Professor Sabu about the questions they encounter in research and ultimately achieve high-quality academic results.
Leaders of the CPDRC’s Family Planning Research Group, Migration and Urbanization Research Group, Health and Ageing Research Group and International Experience Group respectively introduced the research progress and results at the current stage. Professor Sabu thanked CPDRC again for inviting him. He said, he will help CPDRC prepare for the Second China-Africa Conference on Population and Development, give relevant academic lectures at CPDRC and discuss with the four research groups to improve research results and papers. Meanwhile, he hoped the University of Southampton and CPDRC will continue with cooperation on population and development and achieve influential academic results.
