A quarterly English academic journal focusing on China's population and development, China Population and Development Studies (CPDS）is hosted by the China Population and Development Research Center (CPDRC) and affiliated to National Health Commission of China. Instead of being a new magazine, China Population and Development Studies took shape by making innovative adjustments to the contents and form of China Population Today, which was founded in the 1980s.
Prof. ZHENG Zhenzhen, a distinguished demographer, will step down from her position. We are grateful to Prof. Zheng for her laying the solid groundwork for the journal’s development during her tenure.
